PWS WEEK 5 RECAP

The season was changing and some teams were... getting... stronger. So you see, some teams in this 2019 season, are like industry, in that they are both lost in the woods and nobody, especially the their owners "society", know where to find them. Except that the owners are people, but the PWS Fantasy football league my friends, that is a revolution.... KLEIN HIGH FOOTBALL RULES !

THE BOSS ASSES vs The Nature Boys

"Fuller goes for 3"

Some people would have you believe that doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results is the definition of insanity. Perhaps it is, but every week THE BOSS ASSES have started Will Fuller this season with high expectations. In week 5 Will Fuller V came alive. Matching 64% of The Nature Boys total scoring output. The Nature Boys took to the trade market with Hope's of rebounding. Trading away Mike Evans James White and Geronimo Allison for Todd Gurley Tarik Cohen and the Panthers Def. The move was suppose to "clear space" for early season dandy DJ Chark. With a match up with Lattimore coming I don't think the results will be sweet as candy.

Aaron's Party vs The Papa Burgundys

Philly joins the Party

The Party started week 4 and has only gained momentum. Which begs the question - can the party be stopped ? Not even the loss of Davante Adams, a single digit output from Rodgers or losing a starting RB could send people back to their shanties. The return of Tevin Coleman will almost certainly bring in more people to the party. Noise complaints are filing in from even the neighborhood across the street. One complaint came from Papa Burgundy himself - " go fuck yourselves Philadelphia". This dealt a crushing blow to Burgundy nation. They have tried changing it up. They lead the league in trades. With just 2 wins in the last 18 regular season games all hope seems lost... there's no way it can turn around... oh wait... now I remember The Papa Burgundys draw a week 6 match up against the Dirty Birds. Hope has been renewed. Faith has been restored. Chants of "NGU" and "Talk smack get smacked" can be heard around Burgundy facilities. Call me Bart Scott because I Can't wait for week 6.

Miller Gold Agency vs AggSwaggg

"McCaffery hurdles the swaggies"

CMC is quickly becoming this generations LT for fantasy. His combination of receiving rushing and scoring are unmatched right now in fantasy. The Agency may have the worst wrs in PWS, but it doesn't even matter. Having a top 5 RB and top 5 QB is a lethal recipe. Props to Dylan for acquiring both via trade. Let's not forget he left the draft with Sam Darnold as his starting QB. As for the Swaggies these are desperate times. So Desperate in fact that he came out of his cave and made his first trade in 5 years this morning. I feel as shocked as Pepper in the booth for a dodgeball match. At 1-4 wins will have to come fast and furious, but luckily week 6 should mark the return of The Cheetah. Will that be enough to return the swag ?

KHH vs Little Giants

"The Hoe's Pimps provide support"

This was a story of struggling stars and supporting cast. Both had struggling stars. Julio and Melvin Gordon combined for 7 while Keenan Allen has 1 point. Little Giants didn't have their supporting cast step up. The Hoes got 49 points from Lindsay + their kicker and defense. Both still look like top 5 teams, but George is in a prime spot to return to number one sooner than later. For weeks George has thrown out the idea of someone trading for Gurley. On this #tradetuesday it finally happened. Personally I have questions on just how this will improve the little giants. Perhaps they have their eyes set on another RB to start over James white as their RB2 or perhaps Kyler Murray will provide enough rushing production to make up for it.

The Peoples Champ vs The Dirty Birds

"Aaron Jones plays and wins Connect 4"

Midway through Sunday TPC was projected to lose by over 50 points. The Dirty Birds were getting drunk off their #12szn chants. What was Brett doing ? Watching a movie. Just chillin. Not worried at all. Almost as if he knew he was about to get 4 TDs from Aaron Jones plus over 200 yards from Amari Cooper. Simply amazing. This could turn out to be quite the swing game for these two formerly 2-2 teams.

The Replacements vs EDELman2783

"Watson shoots and scores... a lot"

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Despite being number one in the league Drew came up number 6 in the latest Power Rankings. On top of that Mike essentially guaranteed victory by saying he would be in the next IG video. All this disrespect woke up a sleeping giant in Watson who had laid dormant since week 1. Drew is still waiting on some of his core pieces to breakout, but at 5-0 he has all the time in the world for it to happen. For Mike, things are rather simple. Sure this was a tough loss to take when he scores 116, but Barkley is almost a lock to return week 7. Plus, 4-1 ain't so bad even for a Payroll Cowboy?

Who's ready for week 6 ?

KHH Week 5 Power Rankings

Here are the PWS Week 5 Power Rankings

Brought to you again by G-Baby.

Editor’s Note: Rankings take into account rest of the season projections. After all the trade madness in the last 24 hours, basing it purely on team performance to date wouldn’t do it justice.

1). EDELman2783- They don’t call him the best damn salesman in the country for no reason. The Payroll cowboy may have completed the most lopsided trade in PWS history. With Sequon coming back sooner than expected, and A.J. coming back fresh later in the season, the Payroll cowboy is prime for a green jacket run

2). KHH- The hoes drop a spot after a dismal performance in week 4. Too much hoe’n around and not enough pimp’n around? Catch my drift? However, as it was eluded to yesterday, George is never satisfied with his team. He started his weak having an overpriced wrap with a his rival, and made a deal with devil to secure his second handcuff. He thought this would be his last trade for a while. Then, our commish went into a deep spiral, and offered him his favorite hoe back. The hoes will be a force as long as they don’t start catching STDs down the line.

3). Little Giants- Phil’s team is stacked with WR#2 and WR#4 in his lineup. Oh yeah, he also has Alvin MF Kamara, and Todd Gurley. Can Gurley return to his normal self, or will Phil trade him away being so desperate to be a part of an elusive 3-team deal.

4). THE BOSS ASSES- The Boss Ass himself had been pleading to the league for weeks, to send him an RB. Santa came early, and delivered, not 1, but 2 Boss Ass RBs. If Gordon and stay of the WEEEEEEDDD (Stephen A. Voice), the BOSS Asses will surely be a force with Mahomes putting up 30 a week. Oh not to mention, OBJ has been straight trash, but we all know that won’t last for long, unless you were talking to G-baby.

5). The Nature Boys- You may be wondering, how does the team with most points in the league end up all the way down at 5? When you have James White and a SF RB as your 2nd and 3rd best RB, that’s how. With that said, the nature boys have a lot of promise. They have arguably the best 1-2 punch with Jackson and Evans. Sterling should be a WR2 after his next two weeks. Not to mention, he somehow trades the crab stealing, W eating, son of gun for some much needed depth. Can you say connectiiiiioooonnnn?

6). The Replacements- Again, how the hell is the first place team ranked 6th? As I mentioned in the Editor’s note, these rankings are not solely weighted on team performance. While the replacements have taken care of business to-date, they have had the easiest schedule so far. Can’t blame him for who is on the schedule; however, his players have largely under performed expectations to date. I think that is a good thing, because it gets it out of their system. Sort of like waking up hungover, and you know you just have to do the 2-finger trigger to get it over with. Puke it out, and then your home. I expect the Replacements to fly up the rankings once his players puke out these early season performances.

7). The Papa Burgandy’s – I’ve never seen someone flip their entire team in 24 hours. It was amazing to see. Some people thought Papa Burgandy had gone mad when he traded away Julio to the hoes. Then, he took it another level, and acquired the crab stealing, W eating, Son of a Gun. The problem with most people is that they only think about tomorrow. Our commish has meditated to the thought of “Someone is sitting in the shade because someone planted a tree back in the day.” He has always been 5 steps ahead of everyone. The Burgandy’s can now make a strong push to get back into playoff contention.

T-8). TPC- I really couldn’t decide between the next two. On one hand, TPC does appear to have a roster that can make some noise the coming weeks. On the other hand, his recent decision making makes you wonder if he has gone on a bender in the last two days. Trading 4 quality players for a RB who has shown glimpse of promise is as inexcusable as sleeping with your step-sister… you just don’t do it. With that said, they don’t call him TPC for no reason, and I don’t think he is done dealing just yet. Tune in to next week.

T-8). Some may wonder if Branch and George have squashed the rivalry after completing 2 trades before week 5 has even started. I don’t think they did. They both are REASONABLE enough to know that it is better to help themselves than to stick to each other. One may actually wonder though, did his Muddogg brother stick knife in his back by giving him Hollywood and Rashaad Penny? His “Brother” eventually turned those assets into Kerryon and an actual emerging RB… I’m not one to connect the dots, but connect the dots. The party isn’t close to being over, and when Aaron is on the floor, everyone better have brought their toe tapping shoes or else they won’t stand a chance.

9) AggSwagg- I think once Tyreeke got hurt, Nick must have went on a bender. Does he know that he is starting Peyton Barber this week? Still, the due has Zeek, Tyreek, Galloday and T Lockett. Matt Ryan may suck in real life, but he is always playing from behind so he will continue to put up stats. Anyone remember Bortles putting up 35 TDs that one year, and then was talked about as a top 5 QB heading into the next season? Well guess what, its not next season, its this season. Aggswagg can still make a run.

10). MGA- MGA is one move away, and a James Conner rehabilitation from flying up the rankings. He has a top 5 Qb and the best player in Fantasy. His top 2 WRs are #1 options, and Devonta Freeman can be dangerous when his head isn’t battered in. Still, MGA needs to find another receiver to fill his flex. This hole could become an issue with Connor not meeting expectations.

11). The Dirty Birds- Some may say this is just being mean spirited, but I rely on the analytics of my Windows 97 software. You know what the analytics say? They say #2 options don’t win championships. #2 options don’t get you to the playoffs. Chubb looks to be growing into his role, and Godwin apparently is protesting good performances when the Dirty Birds choose to start him. Still, I believe there is hope. A two for 1 swap is something that could dramatically improve this team. Did I just hear someone say Todd Gurley? Does the team ranked above him need another starter? Don’t worry Soliz, this advice is free (Credit to me). I know you are over levered and are probably having to pay out the wazzooo to fight a lawsuit from your 2nd best player.

PWS Trade Reasonableness Rankings

Here are the PWS trade reasonableness rankings presented by an anonymous member of Reservations4-six.

T-R-A-D-E, we all love and live for the word. PWS has really stepped up its game in the last couple years when it comes to the Trade Game. It all started at the draft when cash trades were being made left and right. Mahomes tried out for 3 teams before he eventually made a home on the BOSS ASSES. The introduction of #TradeTuesday has upped the ante even more and I hope the Trade Game continues to grow all throughout the league.

In saying that, we all know that there those who are easy to make a fair trade with and there are those who are not. I am writing this article to provide you with the awareness you need that might help you when making your next big deal.

Trade Reasonableness Rankings

(1 being the best to trade with, 11 being the worst to trade with)

N/A - Nick Edel. Hasn't made enough trades to be included on the rankings. For someone who always talks about putting their balls on the table he sure does shrivel up when it comes to trades. Better luck next year.

  1. Tyler Branch - the man knows a great deal and doesn't hesitate to pull the trigger when he sees one. He made a deal with someone who is ranked #10 on this list while enjoying Salada yesterday on his lunch break. Good and fair deals never stop with this guy. He truly wants what is best for all parties. Those parties being the two best parties there are, PWS and Aaron's Party.
  2. Mike Edel - the Payroll Cowboy is a salesmen through and through. Always in the running for making the most trades each year. Mike finds a guy he likes and doesn't hold back on the offer. He will often pay a premium for the likes of Adrian Peterson, John Brown, and any white WR on the Patriots. Once Mike texts you about a trade, you know a deal is getting done. A reasonably fair deal at that.
  3. Joe Turnbull - I know what you're thinking, two Muddogs in the top 3? Yes. Together you don't want any part of them (often called getting "Muddogged") but apart its a whole different ballgame. Joe just wants BOSS ASS players for all. If you're not trying to trade for Mahomes, Joe is ready to deal with a BOSS ASS ROI coming your way.
  4. Dylan Davis - Deals only went he needs to and I respect that. Trades are for changing things up and that is exactly what Dylan is ready to do. No one on Dylan's teams are ever untradable because you can't put all your eggs in one basket in this league. He knows that one week his guy could put up 30 and the next he could be limping off the field with a torn ACL (a common occurrence for Dylan's players). He sells at the right time at a fair price.
  5. Drew Jones - Drew only comes in at number 5 because the guy doesn't deal much. Actually he is one of three who hasn't made one trade in PWS this year. You would think with a name like "The Replacements" that he would be more willing to replace his players with other players.
  6. Michael Holeman - The commissioner always has to stay partial and can't let one "lopsided" trade in his favor ruin his reputation. Always has to think "would Soliz consider this collusion" before any deal is done. With that attitude, a fair and even deal is all this guy is offering.
  7. Phillip Holeman - Phllip actively pursues  trades whether he is first or last. Phillip will trade with anyone and is always open to hearing your offer out before saying "Not tradeable". Phillip offers deals that are at worst worthy of a counter. He has accurate evaluations of player values even players on his team that he likes. He remains unbiased. He's even been a part of multiple 3 team trades. The only member of PWS that can say that. Phillip is a reasonable guy so if he tries to trade for a handcuff please don't ask for starters and for the love of god can someone please take Gurley off his hands before Gurley gets 20 touches a game. Gurley + Kamara with 2 WR1s might extend the Holeman dynasty. Please... dear god someone stop the Holemans.
  8. Brett Jones - Well I used to think Brett was a little tough to trade with because he had so many assets and he was waiting to unleash them all for a big time play maker. Guess Brett and I have a different idea of what a big time play maker looks like. Hope this Ronnie doesn't turn out like the last relevant Ronnie in PWS (Ronnie Brown). Brett often mulls over deals for a while only to back out of the deal completely without a counter offer. The People's Champ takes an alter ego when it comes to making deals in this league, The People's Chump.
  9. Nick Soliz - The guy gets a CHUBB just hearing the word Trade. Only the problem is the data says trading isn't for him. Soliz is always is open to hearing offers, but then spends hours researching only to back out of deal because his Super Computer says otherwise. Pending lawsuits and restraining orders from players like Chris Godwin and Nick Chubb also might hold up trade talks. Soliz also gets too attached to his players to trade them for what he would consider equal value. Guess Soliz has never heard the saying "If you truly love something, let it go".
  10. George Bradley - George is always dealing. Never satisfied with his team which I can respect but George uses the tactics off telling you how bad the player is that he wants to trade you for. This complicates things in every trade and makes people reevaluate why George would even want that player. I imagine George would use this meme to describe to an outsider how he tries to trade in PWS:
  11. Sam Landis - Last but not least. Sam goes with the tactic of telling you who he would like from you team (often the best players) while also telling you that he will not trade any of his best players. Sam is always trying to deal and has probably texted more people about trades than anyone in the league, but has yet to actually make a trade this year. I respect the effort and love that you are always wanting to deal, but the strategy might need to change if you actually want to make a trade.

PWS Week 4 recap

"He who is resistant to change, is destined to perish"

Week 4 is done. The playoff picture is already starting to come together. Some teams have gone together with the 2019 season like lamb and tuna fish . Other league members are left wondering why they drank so much tequila before the draft. There is time for things to turn around, but that window is rapidly closing.

THE BOSS ASSES vs The Replacements

"Stompy stomps on"

Boss ass nation headed into week 4 already marking it down as a W. The match ups were ripe and they were playing a Replacements squad with Bell on a bye and scarey Terry out with injury. Unfortunately they forgot to show up. The Pats defense would end up out scoring Mahomes Mack and Beckham combined. Mahomes scored a career low 18 fantasy points and no one other than Chris Boswell and the Steel curtain defense stepped up to pick up the slack. For THE BOSS ASSES this is a crushing blow. Dropping 3 straight after opening up week 1 in first. If you listen closely you can hear PWS members "maaan, you are one pathetic loser" - "if I were you I'd walk my fat ass into on coming traffic." "If I drafted a team like that I'd have to kick my own ass" - "you should start cutting your underwear... so it rips easier" Is this the end for THE BOSS ASSES or just a footnote to a 3rd championship season ?

As for The Replacements life couldn't be any better. No matter how much their players under perform they just can't stop winning. Many predicted a Superbowl hangover. At 4-0 and atop the ranking The Replacements have shut the doubters up. They draw EDELman2783 week 5. A 1 v 2 match up with a chance to all but secure a playoff spot and take the early Bye week edge.

KHH vs EDELman2783

"No Barkley no problem"

KHH came into this match up full of Can't stop the Rev swag. So much so that there were whispers of an undefeated season. That all came to an end as KHH had only 1 player eclipse double digits. Still 3-1 and getting Melvin Gordon back this week the future remains as knappy as ever for KHH. As for Mike the squeaky wheel gets the grease this week. Mike has traded aways more HOFers than I can count so far this year and just lost Saquan Barkley. All hope seemed lost. Yet the man is 4-0 and still has AJ Green in the holster.
Every year it seems Mike scores a very one sided trade. This year, perhaps when his team needed it the most, the Payroll Cowboy cashed in. Flipping Ronald Jones for Emanuel Sanders, Golden Tate, Jordan Howard and Russell Wilson. Can Mike Run the Table ? Only time will tell.

Aaron's Party vs The People's Champ

"Aaron's Arrival"

Austin Ekeler had been at the party by himself for 3 weeks getting buzzed. Only problem was the party didn't start till week 4. Rodgers showed up slinging the ball to Davante Adams to help jump start the party. Now that the party is finally bumpin can it be stopped ? One thing is for sure. Austin Ekeler has been asked to leave. TPC has no regrets. Fornette has finally come alive and it's just a matter of time before Watkins blows up again.

AggSwaggg vs Little Giants

"Ball in the Kupp"

AggSwaggg still looks pretty swagless. Without Hill and with an underperforming Zeke AggSwaggg was unable to beat a team that started Daniel Jones, Phillip Dorsett and a defense that gave up 55 points. Hill still hasn't been medically cleared and Edel has refused to make a trade for 5 years and counting. Just how can the swag return ? The Little Giants just keep following the system. Plug in play and move on to the next week. They are quietly sitting at 3-1 and have just done a potential historic bench dump during this weeks waivers. They have added 4 new promising players to the roster and acquired Kyler Murray Via trade. The Little Giants may be small but they know "Football is 80% mentall and 40% physicall"

The Dirty Birds vs The Nature Boys

"Goff's garbage time bonuses"

It's a bird, it's a plane, NO! It's Nick Chubb. Other than Chubbs Heroic performance The Dirty Birds were mostly up to their old tricks again last week as 7 of their 9 starters combined for 30 points. Fortunately they were bailed out by an absurd 517 yards on 70 pass attempts from Goff. Sure they benched Godwin... wait... Godwin was benched.... there is clearly some behind the scenes issues at work here. Did Godwin refuse to play for Soliz ? Is Soliz being threatened? Are the Holemans involved in this scandal ? As we all know the Holemans can't help but collude against this franchise. Will we be getting an article from Michael Holeman himself on this matter? So many questions... so little time and poor Sam is caught in the middle of all this !

The Papa Burgundys vs Miller Gold Agency

"The agency gets out of the Woods"

In a surprise move these two teams made a trade before their matchup up against each other. The players the Agency landed outscored The Burgundys haul 41-24 in what ended up being a 12 point margin. Miller Gold looks to continue their new winning ways after a breakout from Robert Woods. What a sigh of relief that must be. As long as Conner is healthy enough to play this team should get back on the right track and avoid moving to a van down by the river.
The Burgundys have been shopping for new suits, but apparently they have been going to the toilet store. I've heard rumors that The Papa Burgundys are back however, after doing over 1000 curls. Their pants have illusions of a 4th ring and black beards delight might just be the final touch to make those illusions of the pants a reality. I challenge you to Queue the Yazz flute and get yourself a W.

The fight for PWS glory moves on to week 5. Who will come alive and who's team will die?

KHH Power Rankings

We get the pleasure of these rankings from G-baby this week.

Power Rankings week 4

KHH- Can you really argue with this? The Hoes balled out last week vs. the swag champ. Can the swag champ’s little brother get redemption this week? Doubtful. Hoes get strong with the shocking return of Melvin Gordon this week. Only thing that can stop the hoes at the moment is the injury bug and there crazy owner who loves to make stupid trades. Only time will tell.
The Replacements- Scary Terry has been an excellent addition to a team that is filled with a bunch of rejects, who were passed over by many. Drew finds #value where others don’t’. Solid start to the year and I expect him to be a force from here on out.
Little Giants- This team is stacked with talent, but is starting to catch the injury bug. Solid pickups at QB should help whether the storm until Brees comes back. The biggest question from the rest of the league is what will he do with Gurley? Will he try to sell high on the results from last season, or will Phil get caught holding the bag at the end.
Nature Boys- How can the league leader in points not be in the top 2? Ric’s flex look’s shaky and this could prove to be an issue going forward. However, Ric is the styling, profiling, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing, wheelin ‘n dealing, son of a gun. When you roll with a guy like Lamar Jackson, you can cover up a lot of weaknesses.
The Boss Assess- Boss Assess are loaded at every position except for 1…. RB. Made a great trade this week that should help going forward. However, can he make 1 more to bring in another boss ass? A lot of questions moving forward for this team. Will Josh Gordon get high? Will lesean disappear when D Will is healthy?
EDELman2783- With the loss of barkley, this certainly hurts the prospects of Mr. Edel moving forward. Too many holes in this roster at the moment to move any higher. EDELman needs to be on the phone, working trades or will continue to fall in the coming weeks.
TPC- May have the lowest floor in the league. May also have the most ammo to make a splash in the coming weeks.
AggSwagggg- Zeke hasn’t been Zeke yet, but that will change in the coming weeks. Lockett has been amazing. This team will surge once Tyreeke comes back.
Aaron’s Party- The party got bumpin this week when Aaron and his wingman finally decided to show up. Unfortunately, the party could be cut short when the guests find out that this is a “going away party” for Ekelar. We will have to see what Branch has up his sleeve to keep the party going before it’s too late.
Papa Burgandy’s- Papa Burgandy did what he does best. Burgandy made headlines this past week with a huge trade with Mr. Gold. Something tells me he isn’t done making headlines. I can see it now…“Burgandy brought on stage during Ciarra Concert.” That would mean only one thing for the rest of PWS….Shit he’s baaaaacccckkkkkkk.
MGA- Solid trade this week, in which Mr. Gold got arguably the best player in the league this year. I fully expect them to begin surging up the rankings in the coming weeks.
Dirty Bird’s- Your bench doesn’t win championships, your starters do. 2nd options don’t win championships, starters do. Maybe the bird droppings will be able to pull off a trade next week? Do I hear Todd Gurley?????

PWS Week 3 recap

With 3 weeks down we are essentially a quarter of the way through the regular season. The season is going by rapidly and it is time to make bold moves before it's too late.

Little Giants vs The Papa Burgundys

In a must win game between two Brothers, Phillip rained down fantasy points to win decisively. This despite his QB and Gurley combining for just 16 points. Little Giants again proving to be able to win against all odds when they need to the most. After a potential season saving win Phillip has turned to Danny Dimes to continue the playoff push. As for the Burgundys this is a crushing blow. Hardman and McCaffery gave all they had, but it wasn't enough to earn their first victory. Sitting in a glass case of emotion Holeman has turned to a familiar friend to right the ship. Trading for DJ in addition to Julio and ertz. Will this be enough ? Or will it in fact prove to be a very filling burrito that will cost Papa Burgundy what he loves most ? Only time will tell.

AggSwaggg vs KHH

I thought AggSwaggg liked to party. Perhaps they like to party too much. Edel falls to 0-2 without Hill. It has been tough sledding as AggSwaggg has turned to Peyton Barber as their RB2. Was this a drunken mistake or will Mr. Agg find his swag before it's too late ? For the Hoes it's been simple. Just win baby. Clearly doesn't matter who they even start as proof by inexplicably benching Phillip Lindsay for Tyrell Williams this week. Perhaps this was mercy. A handicap if you will as Cooper  and the gang have been unstoppable thus far. Can anyone challenge the hoes ? Can anyone compete with their Knappy-ness ? Find out from G-baby himself in this weeks interview.

Miller Gold Agency vs The People's Champ

It looked like the Agency was headed for their first win. Then Russell Wilson said it would be a real shame if someone decided to score garbage time points galore. The Agency has simply had enough. They cleaned house this week and will put their seasons hopes in CMC. They will face off against The Burgundys this week in what is seemingly an elimination game. Without Julio can Robert Woods and Alshon step up ? TPC got the week started with a rumblin bumblin stumblin performance from Fornette that would leave even Chris Berman speechless. All he needed was Wilson's garbage time hero performance in this one. Now stacked with not one but TWO Eagles running backs just how much more rumblin will we see from this squad ?

Aaron's Party vs The Nature Boys

Aaron's Party is off to a slow start, but I believe this week will prove to be the 10:30 lull just before the drugs kick in. Party pooper Stefon Diggs has been kicked out. The Party is primed and ready to rage. The Nature Boys enjoyed a Mike Evans breakout which covered up their abysmal flex options. The team is scoring in bunches, but is it sustainable? Just how long can the nature boy survive on heavy roids before there's a come down ? Should he be looking to sell high ? Probably. Will he look to acquire elite talents such as Kamara without willing to give up any top players ? Definitely. Time will tell if this is an early season mirage or the makings of a powerhouse.

The Dirty Birds vs The Replacements

The Dirty Birds came in to week 3 with high hopes, but as the old Chinese proverb states - the higher birds fly the faster they die. Trading for David Montgomery was suppose to sure of the RB stable. Where does this leave Soliz ? Does he need to make more trades ? Does he need to hold and pray ? Or does he in fact need to go back to making sweet soliz ? The Replacements... what can you say. They have under performing stars and they are 3-0. None of their RBs have lived up to expectations and they are 3-0. I wish I could be like Drew. Already positioning himself to claim what he believes to be rightfully his. "I won that championship... freaking Harry Butker"

PWS Week 3 sit/starts Match up Breakdowns

Looking around the league at match ups I see some questionable line up decisions as well as some brilliant moves. Some flat out make me want to vomit and others I tip my hat to. So here are some of my thoughts. Take it as you will.

The Papa Burgundys vs Little Giants

Burgundy nation is at a crossroads. On one hand they have a man who has been the face of this franchise for many years over the history of this great league. On the other he has a new kid on the block. One that embodies the new NFL prototype QB. At 0-2. It's time for a change. Murray will bring the fury:

320 passing yards 2 TDs 14 rushing yards 1 rushing score.

Phillip is in a tough flex spot. Do you really buy into an OJ Howard bounce back or go the I'll believe it when I see it route ? As tough as it is to have that faith and trust production tied to Winston, I personally side with the upside of Howard at home in a prime bounce back spot. In the event that I started pulling my hair out just at the thought of another goose egg my choice would be simple. Do I start a Raider @ Minnesota or would I infact go with James Washington ? Hear me out. The Steelers are changing things up this week after the Moncrief experience cost them their week 2 game. Reports state Dionte Johnson will get the start, but let's be real. Washington is the superior talent and has amazing rapport already with Mason Rudolph. Here are my projections for these 3 options:

Waller - 46 yards no score

Howard - 67 yards and a TD

Washington - 79 yards and a TD

Match up projection : The Papa Burgundys 113 Little Giants 100

KHH vs AggSwaggg

All week George has Gore on his bench. All week I scratched my head. If you own Gore and you aren't going to play him this week then you 100% should drop him. What's the point ? He will serve as the clear lead back against a Cincinnati team that was just shredded on the ground by 3 different Niners. George however, is starting the ageless wonder. This will play a pivotal role in George getting back to back IG calls. I would however, start Gore over Tyrell Williams. I want zero Raiders in my line ups this week. As for Edel I have a similar argument. Why roster Devin Smith if you aren't going to start him when Gallup is out and he is playing THE WORST TEAM IN THE NFL??? Reports on Jacobs are that he lost 10 lbs this week. Yeah... I want to start that guy! Not to mention he has a road match up in Minnesota. What is the appeal in starting Jacobs here ? What is his upside in this situation ? Hard pass for me. I'd much rather roll the dice on the upside of Smith playing the Dolphins. Projections for these two

Jacobs - 23 rushing yards and 7 receiving yards. No score.

Devin Smith - 73 yards and a score

Match up projection : KHH 116 AggSwaggg 114

The Dirty Birds vs The Replacements

Soliz is off to a sizzling start after the Titans Defense got him one whole point Thursday night. I don't see any line up quandaries for him this week. Drew on the other hand has a very interesting one. Ride with the hot rookie McLaurin in a tough match up or trust a struggling MVS ? For me I don't want any Redskins this week against the Bears. They could easily score 10 points or less in that game. Chris Harris is expected to shadow Davante Adams which should open the door for an MVS breakout. Here's my projection:

McLaurin - 36 yards no score

MVS - 83 yards one score

Match up projection: The Replacements 111 The Dirty Birds 87

The Nature Boys vs Aaron's Party

Sam is starting Sterling Shepard... I assumed there must be a better option on his team.... there is not. Thank god he has Lamar Jackson and Dalvin Cook or this team should be renamed to the island of misfit players. Tyler has an interesting flex decision. Roll the dice on a less than 100% McCoy? Double down on Mostert ? Play it safe with Hyde ?  Tough call, but I believe my Muddog brother is making the correct call with Hyde. That's all you can do.

Match up projection: Aaron's Party 112 The Nature Boys 99

The Peoples Champ vs Miller Gold Agency

TPC has a plethora (click plethora) of flex options. I believe the fantasy community would ask Brett, "how can you bench Emmanuel Sanders ?! He's got 20 targets in two games! He's got 184 yards in two games! He has scored in both games ! He looks Amazing !" Brett is as savvy an owner as you will see and this move proves it. Starting Mike Williams over Sanders is a winning play. Sanders draws a GB defense that has held opponents to just 215.5 yards per game through the air and 9.5 ppg. Comparison projections:

Sanders - 56 yards no score

Mike Williams - 79 yards one score

Match up projection: TPC 109 Miller Gold Agency 94

As Lance Armstrong said to Peter LeFleur "Good luck. I hope this decision doesn't haunt you forever."

PWS Week 2 recap

Week 2 was a polarizing week for the league. 4 teams scored over 100 and 4 teams scored under 80. Three teams are 2-0 and 3 teams are 0-2. Is it time to panic or pray ?

KHH vs The Papa Burgundys

The Burgundys had an underwhelming day, but were still in position to win with Alshon in a plus match up on primetime. Coming off a 2 TD performance surely he could score 9 points right ? Which begs the question, Did the hoes hire the goon from Happy Gilmore to take out Alshon ? A question we may never get the answer to. The Burgundys wouldn't have needed to count on Alshon production if their leader had just taken care of business. Now the rivers run red with Cardinal fury as the Burgundys look to Kyler Murray in week 3. For George and the hoes they will just continue to read the newspaper for their sit/starts while eating rolos and counting victories.

AggSwaggg vs EDELman2783

No brotherly love here. Mike had to sweat it out in one of the most riveting MNF games in recent memory. Thankfully Baker had the good sense to just get the ball to Beckham. The 89 yard TD hook up all but sealed the deal. AggSwaggg really misses Hill. Their team severely lacks upside. DJ Moore has huge QB questions right now. Yikes. Tyler Locket has been over taken as the number one WR by a rookie and this is still a run heavy team. Double Yikes. Michael Gallup is out. Triple yikes. Who will Edel turn to now ? Peyton barber ?? Duke Johnson ??? As for Mike this was a huge win to move to 2-0 despite a struggling Baker and all the wild uncertainty of AB.

Little Giants vs The Peoples Champ

Wow... this match up was the definition of 3 yards and a cloud of dust. In what was seemingly a Klein vs Klein Collins 6-2 blood bath The Peoples Champ did just enough to win... largely due to possibly the greatest fantasy player in league history Drew Brees going down early and finishing with zero points. Moment of silence please. Heading into week three there are rumors circling that these two power houses could be looking to join forces via trade. It must be a classic change of scenery type of philosophy. Can these teams rebound? Will Gurley be motivated by being put on the trade block ? Will Watkins return to week 1 form ? Will OJ Howard get a target ? Will Fornette finally find open fields to roam free ? Will Cooper Kupp continue to fall down on the 1 yard line ? Will Miles Sanders stop peeing his pants because he thinks it's cool ??? There's a lot of burning questions heading into week 3.

Miller Gold Agency vs The Nature boys

Hard to get Ws when the opposing QB rushes for 120 yards. Even more difficult when your QB has been Monstar-ed. Luckily for Dylan much like yogurt companies he has replaced Cam with Dak. Perhaps this is all that is needed to avoid 0-3 or perhaps Devonta Freeman is dead and Robert Woods has been kicked to the curb. A trade might be on the horizon for the agency. As for the Nature Boys the only thing that could stop this award winning cook-out is.... the man who eats Ws. Winston needs to be cut before he derails this franchise.

Aaron's Party vs The Replacements

The Party looked to be bumping early As Rodgers had 2 first quarter TDs then apparently had an early curfew. Aaron's party likely still did enough to win if not for those lowsy fish. The Replacements got a whopping 37 points from their Defense to earn the victory over the party. Branch has retooled and is ready to get back on track with added RB depth. No time to panic. Just R-E-L-A-X
Drew is back in position for another title run at 2-0 despite a 1.59 ypc from Joe Mixon, a completely inept Jets offense for Bell to run in and Wrs Edel has never heard of before. Just what is Drew up to with these WRs ? Will we find out week 3 ?

Now for the PWS Power Rankings through 2 weeks.

1. KHH - Many people including yours truly expected the Hoes to be crappy. So far this year they have proved everyone dead wrong as they have been hella Knappy. Cooper has been leading the way thus far for KHH nation. George has some juicy match ups this week and is up against a beaten down AggSwaggg squad. I see 3-0 in these hoes future.

2. EDELman2783 - Despite all the AB controversies and the Mahomes trade blunder Mike is quietly 2-0 and in 2nd. When you look at his team Mike looks like a squad primed to fall, but it's hard to bet against the Payroll Cowboy. Can he find some Mayfield Magic ?

3. The Replacements - I think Drew leads the league in starters on bad teams. Bell - Jets. Mixon - Bengals. Engram - Giants. McLaurin - Washington. He has Watson though and that may be all he needs.

4. THE BOSS ASSES - First in points. First in your hearts. Everyone's favorite convicts come in at number 4.

5. The Nature Boys - The guy may offer the worst trades in the league, but he's got quite the combo with Cook and Lamar Jackson. They can carry him far, but he's going to need better complimentary pieces than Crowder Allison and Sterling Shepard. Would soliz even roster these guys ?

6. The Peoples Champ - 9th in the rankings, but very dangerous ceiling. Especially with the addition of Cooks TPC can score 120+ regardless of match ups.

7. Little Giants - The slide ends here. Losing your top 2 QBs is tough. Navigating flex spots while Howard is playing FB could prove to be tougher. If anyone can figure it out it's Phillip. Will there be a McGuire this year ?

8. The Dirty Birds - The Dirty Birds found a bird bath just in time for week 2. Just what was in that water ? How long will its effects last ?

9. AggSwaggg - The team is breaking down and it's just week 2. Edel is taking his usual approach of refusing to make trades to improve and greatly over spending on early season waiver bids. Typical. At least he finally dropped Ballage.

10. Aaron's Party - I've said it numerous times. The best parties start late. This squad is still loaded with talent from top to bottom. He can climb into the top 5 in 2 weeks.

11. The Papa Burgundys - Maybe if he had spent more time studying WRs than flower arrangements for his wedding he wouldn't be getting nightmares of last season. I do believe this team is hungry and motivated to climb back up the ladder. The keys to the team have been passed to Kyler Murray who I fully expect to go en fuego over the remainder of the season.

12. Miller Gold Agency - Averaging 73 ppg was not what Dylan had in mind. He's not taking the Nick Edel approach of "I'm just gunna let my team die" and is actively looking for ways to improve the Agency. He already acquired a top 5 QB in Dak. Now he just needs to upgrade his RB2 and WR2 slots. If Dylan can find some upside it's not too late to get right back in it.

PWS Week 1

Ahh... week one is officially done. Queue the early victory laps and panic buttons.

The Papa Burgundys vs AggSwaggg

Burgundy nation eclipsed the 100 point threshold, but much was left to be desired as Conner Kerryon and Pettis were outscored by Gostkowski by 5 points. This feels like a huge  and very fortunate win for AggSwaggg who's arrow is definitely pointing down with the injuries to Hill and Guice. I'd look for Mister "we have too many roster spots" to spend most if not all of his FAAB budget this week and keep the rest of his team frozen for the rest of the year. That is of course if they can out bid the Burgundys tonight who should be looking to aggressively pursue some WR help after the tragic usage of Pettis. My predictions:

Marquise Brown ends up a Burgundy for $34

Gio and Ross end up on AggSwaggg for $48 total

KHH vs The Peoples Champ

Whoah Nelly. The hoes are the knappiest I've seen since.... they previously went by Try and Stop the Rev in 07. The Dak Cooper connection has bailed out the Hoes horrific draft thus far, but could the hoes have more tricks stashed away in their knappy heads ? Perhaps a trick named Raheem Mostert or possibly another blockbuster deal? The Peoples Champ may be hitting the panic button after a disastrous week 1 showing. I remain cautiously optimistic as Watkins has turned back the clock and found the fountain of health. No waiver moves for Brett this week, but I feel a blockbuster trade on the horizon.

The Little Giants vs The Nature Boys

Todd Gurley had training wheels and Lamar Jackson went en fuego. It didn't matter for the defending champ. Winning was still a Brees. Phillip doesn't need to do much on waivers this week. I look for Sam to whiff on the top adds and land Terry McLaurin.

Miller Gold Agency vs The Replacements

Tyrell William's lead the way for the agency week one... yikes. Not an ideal start, but should bounce back nicely with much better match ups week 2. Especially after landing Panthers def off the wire. The Replacements might need to make good on their team name and replace Mixon week 2. Will they look to the wire or in house ? My bet is they look to mask their RB deficiencies with 12 personel by unveiling Hockenson.

The Dirty Birds vs EDELman2783

The Dirty birds were awfully dirty this week. They spent much of Sunday rolling around in their own filth. Is this all a part of the plan ? To lure us in a false sense of security,  or is it in fact time to panic ? Mike most certainly missed Mahomes in this match up. Mayfield under performed,  but Mike still got the W. Now that AB is back in his line up Mike has to feel a lot better about his ROS outlook. I believe he lands Darren Waller and makes a trade happen this week.

Power Rankings

1. The Little Giants - will keep the top spot till they lose a game

2. THE BOSS ASSES - As hungry and as deep as ever. Explosive plays galore. ALL BOSS ASS ALL THE TIME

3. KHH - could be the biggest faller after week 2? Or could they prove the haters wrong with another blow up week?

4. EDELman2783 - loaded with trade peices and as aggressive as any.

5. The Replacements - Watson will carry this team far.

6. AggSwaggg - without Hill I think times are going to be very tough

7. The Burgundys - unlucky loss week one keeps him out of the top 6. One good WR away from being dangerous.

8. Aaron's Party - the best parties don't start early. Aarons Party should be a huge riser in the coming weeks.

9. The Peoples Champ - plenty of pieces to make a big trade happen and still have strong plays throughout the entire line up.

10. Miller Golds Agency - Rough week 1 lands him here, but the match ups are prime for a bounce back.

11. The Nature Boys - Going to need to make some moves. Could Evans be on the move ?

12. The Dirty Birds - Get a shot at redemption against the first place team this week. Will he capture it? Or just let it slip?

Bold Predictions

I was wondering what I should write about as I headed home from work. My thoughts of what to write were interrupted by pure frustration as I wait for the elevator. "Why on earth is it taking so long for the elevator?! All I want to do is be able to change clothes, relax and produce some new content." My frustration began to build as a couple more minutes passed. I'm incredibly annoyed at this point. Then it hit me. The most inconvenient part of my day was waiting a few minutes for the elevator to escort me up to my highrise apartment. Life isn't so bad if this is my biggest inconvenience #firstworldprobs. I wonder if any NFL players have something inconvenient that will effect their 2019 outlook? Let's jump in with some bold predictions and spicey takes.

Damien Williams

What inconveniences could there possibly be in Damien's world ? He's set to be the lead back for the best offense in football right ? He excels as a pass catcher and has a generational talent as a QB. What could possibly stop him from being an RB1? Oh wait, now I remember! The Cheifs just signed LeSean McCoy, giving him 3 million guaranteed. You don't pay that kind of money to a RB if he's just an insurance policy or a depth addition. I believe the intent is to give McCoy a significant workload in the range of 12-15 touches per game. Many will argue that McCoy is washed up and will face plant if he is given an opportunity to earn a role. I get it. He averaged a career low 3.2 ypc last season and he's now 31. That was on a Bills team that no one feared getting beat from their passing game. Now he's reunited with Andy Reid in the system he flourished in. I've gone back and watched his 2018 tape. He still has the "Shady Shake". He was dangerous in space. McCoy also has 7 seasons of 40 or more catches. He is going to be a versatile asset for this team. My first BOLD prediction - LeSean McCoy finishes with more fantasy points than Damien Williams in both standard and PPR.

 Deshaun Watson

Watson averages 1.5 YPA and 1.5 TDs per game more with Will Fuller on the field. With the addition Laremy Tunsil, Watson will have more time to make big plays. Kenny Stills will only add to those big plays. The addition of Duke Johnson will present an upgrade in the pass catching RB arena. This could help swing plays that were sacks or hurried throws last year into checkdowns that turn into positive gains. Watson has 5,000 total yards and 40 total TDs in 2019.

Odell Beckham Jr

I've talked him up enough to forgo a breakdown. Beckham eclipses 1700 yards and has 17+ TDs this season.

Sony Michel

Sony Michel leads the NFL in rushing TDs with at least 18.

Will Fuller

Fuller stays healthy and goes en fuego. Finishes the year as a WR1 in both standard and PPR.

Saquan Barkley

Finishes the year with over 2200 total yards  but still finishes behind Ezekiel Elliot as the RB2 overall.

Justice Hill

Finishes with 1200+ total yards and 6+ scores. Ends the year as a top 20 RB

Baker Mayfield

Mayfield not only feels dangerous, but is dangerous to your opposing fantasy owners. Mayfield finishes with 4700 total yards and 40 total TDs

James Washington

Finishes as a top 25 WR eclipsing the 1000 yard mark.

Zach Ertz

Finishes outside the top 5 at the position.

The game I love

Every summer I get sick. Like clock work after each NFL draft I get hit with a fever. A fever so strong nothing can break it. At least not yet. It's fantasy football fever. I am able to maintain  it by logging into my draft app and beginning to draft best ball teams. My desire for drafting becomes insatiable. Every day I will draft at least one team. Drafting countless teams before even the month of June arrives. Round 18 dart throws of names like Jaylen Hurd and Arcega-Whiteside bring happiness to my very soul. I find myself devoting all my free time into Fantasy Football research. With the NFL season just a week away I decided to share some of my thoughts.

I will list my top target in ADP increments of 10 beginning with number 11 from fantasy football calculator

111.11Dalvin CookRBMIN12
121.12Julio JonesWRATL9
131.12Todd GurleyRBLAR9

202.07Travis KelceTEKC12
Odell Beckham Jr - There is something to be said about an elite talent playing with a chip on his shoulder. Beckham clearly still feels slighted by the Giants. He's publicly stated his desire to win and that the Giants were not goal congruent. He believes he was sent to Cleveland to "Die". It's hard to say how long ago if ever he was happy playing for the Giants, but he's most certainly in his "happy place" now. Much like Happy Gilmore watching his Grandma win the jackpot, with Virginia Bennett in lingerie all the while Chubbs plays the piano. I think we all know what that did to Happy's short game. So just imagine what it will do to Beckham. All kidding aside Beckham is playing alongside one of his closest friends in Landry with the most talented QB of career. Now let's take a look at some numbers.

Beckham has produced WR1 numbers 47.5% of the weeks he's played for his career. Since he's been in the league that is the highest percentage of games ending as a WR1. Yes ahead of Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, EVERYONE. His weekly blend of upside and floor is unmatched. 30.5% of his games have gone for 25 or more points in ppr while just 6.8% of his games have gone for 8 points or less. That is also the HIGHEST percentage of games of 25 points or more since he's been in the league and the LOWEST percentage of games resulting in 8 points or fewer. All this with a deteriorating Eli Manning and his noodle arm throwing him passes. Through Beckham's first 2 seasons he averaged 102.04 yards per game. He added 25 TDs over his first 27 games as well. I point to the first 2 years because that's before Manning completely fell off a cliff as a passer. That's a 1,632 yard 16 game pace with nearly a TD per game. You could argue that was years ago. You'd be right. It was, but Beckham is just 26 years old. Odell is an absolute must own player as someone who possesses historic potential this year.

283.04Aaron JonesRBGB11
293.05Devonta FreemanRBATL9
303.05Keenan AllenWRLAC12

This group is oozing with upside. My favorite, however, is Aaron Jones.

Aaron Jones was hyper efficient with the touches he received last year averaging 5.5 ypc. If you exclude week 3 (his first game back from suspension) and week 15 (the game he went down with injury) he was on a 1,408 yard 16 game pace. Over those 10 games he scored 9 Touchdowns. Jones accomplished all of this on just 14.8 touches per game over this span as the Packers were dead last in rush attempts. Rodgers also played most of the year on one leg. Now with a healthy Rodgers and a new coach the Packer offense is near lock to score more. Jones also ran circles around backfield mate Jamaal Williams last season (5.5 ypc for Jones compared to 3.8 for Williams). Jones in all likelihood will get more touches this season as the far superior talent giving him upside to eclipse 1500 total yards and score 12 + TDs

Honorable mentions for this group:

Leonard Fornette - His only real concern is his health and that is built into his ADP. Nick Foles will provide stability to the offense and their defense is a prime candidate to bounce back to elite status with the addition of rookie Josh Allen on defense wreaking havoc on opposing offenses. If Fornette can just give 14 healthy games he will be a major value this season.

Chris Carson - I'm all in on Chris Carson. He's the lead back for the team that is a lock to be in the top 5 in rush attempts. The hype from reports of him getting 50+ targets this season has skyrocketed his ADP to a point that has severely limited his upside. For this reason I prefer Jones and Fornette over him.

394.02Stefon DiggsWRMIN12
404.02Mark IngramRBBAL8
For this section I thought I'd throw a little wrinkle in and give brief explanations for the guys I'm not targeting in this range first.

Josh Jacobs - I do not think the Raiders are going to be a good team leading to many negative game scripts. Jacobs may have a 3 down skill set, but rookie RBs struggle the most with pass protection. Jalen Richard could very well be used in most passing down situations. This also doesn't project to be a top 15 offense which will cap his TD upside. I don't think he will be a bust, but I prefer other RBs in this range.

George Kittle - Simply put I'm not an advocate for drafting TEs early. I want to be as loaded as can be at RB and WR. I also prefer the value of OJ Howard and Vance McDonald at the position.

Amari Cooper - Cooper was one of my top targets early in the summer. His somewhat mysterious foot injury has given me cause for pause. First it was labeled as plantar fasciitis. Then "intrinsic muscle strain". What in the hell does that even mean ?? Next, it was just "more of a strain". Whatever it's labeled as it is currently impacting his ability to cut during his routes. If this is something that lingers into the season it could severely limit his playmaking ability.

Derek Henry - Henry needs positive game scripts. I know it's just preseason, but it's hard to ignore just how atrocious the Titans have looked.

Melvin Gordon - Recent reports of Chargers beat writer having a "hunch" he plays week one seems more wishful thinking than optimism to me. Gordon is looking for roughly an additional 4 million per year from the Chargers. They have no reason to budge. Gordon has never played all 16 games and they have 2 younger backs that will form a very productive one-two punch. Let someone else take the risk and scour Twitter daily for any positive update on this situation.

Zach Ertz - See above with Kittle.

Stefon Diggs - I like Diggs a lot if you went RB heavy early. He's a safe play as someone who is coming off a 1000 yard 100 catch campaign, but as my man Mike McDermott in Rounders said "if you're too careful, your whole life can become a grind". Drafting Diggs is being careful. He doesn't have league winning upside. The dude averaged just 10 yards per catch for Godsakes. That almost makes old Man Larry Fitzgerald seem like a deep threat.

Mark Ingram - Ok honestly, who is going into drafts saying "Man I gotta get Ingram" ? Over the last few years the Ravens have had a repeated cycle of replacing their top back midseason. Justin Forsett to Bernard Pierce to Terrance West to Alex Collins to... Gus Edwards? Now the Ravens finally have a top tier talent in Justice Hill. I see no reason the trend doesn't continue.

Now for the guys I am targeting from this group.

Sony Michel - What do Benjarvus Green-Ellis Stevan Ridley and LeGarrette Blount all have in common??? I know I know ! They are all guys you can find on the island of misfit RBs ! Well perhaps, but I was looking for RBs that had double digit rushing score seasons for the Patriots. Sony played 16 games last season including the playoffs and also eclipsed that mark with 12. Michel is playing the same role as those guys and entering year 2 in the system as a superior talent. He's a legit threat to lead the league in rushing scores and has been hyped up this offseason for improving his pass catching skills. Michel missed week 1 last year after having a knee scope late in camp. He returned week 2, but didn't really take over the backfield till week 4. In his full games from week 4 on he averaged 82.5 rushing yards per game. If you include his playoff totals he averaged just over 89 rushing yards per game. Those come out to totals of 1320 and 1429 over 16 games. He can realistically fall somewhere in that range with double digit scores. Now just imagine if he actually does improve in the pass game and adds on 200+ receiving yards ? That's an every week RB1.

David Montgomery - My thought process is simple. Last season the Bears gave Jordan howard 250 carries despite his 3.7 ypc. They gave him an additional 26 targets as well. Montgomery has far greater passing down skills than Howard. Cohen will still dominate 3rd down work, but even if Montgomery just gets the same opportunity Howard did last year he will turn a nice profit for his fantasy owners. Why do I think he can be more efficient than Howard ? Only one player is college football history has broken 100 tackles in a season. David Montgomery... and he did it twice. He passed the eye test this preseason by shedding off numerous would be tacklers. I believe he can average around 4.5 ypc. On 250 carries that equates to 1125 yards. I think he will receive 30-35 receptions which would put him around 1400 total yards making him a high end RB2.

495.01Cooper KuppWRLAR9
505.02T.Y. HiltonWRIND6

When I look at this group a certain song comes to mind. RETURN OF THE MACK. Andrew Luck's retirement has plummeted Mack's ADP and Mack has returned to value town because of it. The Colts have a top 5 offensive line if not the best line in the league. They are loaded with offensive weapons and despite receiving numerous offers all offseason for Brisset they kept him. Mack was the 3rd down back his rookie year and last year he proved to be a workhorse between the tackles. In year 3 he could combine both skillsets to emerge as a rare 3 down back. Losing Luck definitely downgrades the offense, but probably not to the degree the public thinks and it could lead to more volume for Mack as well. He's a dark horse to lead the AFC in rushing.

595.10Josh GordonWRNE10
605.11Austin EkelerRBLAC12

This is where we get down to the nitty gritty.

Miles Sanders and Tevin Coleman are expected to be lead backs of committee backfields. We know what we are getting with Coleman. A player who can play all 3 downs, but needs a running mate to share the load so he can remain effective. Miles Sanders is a bit of a mystery box. We fantasy owners love the mystery box. What we do know is Doug Pederson loves to use the RBBC. Sanders looked elusive in the preseason, but based on Pedersons history I do not think he will see enough volume to give much of a payoff at this price. This is where I like to pivot (Ross voice) to WRs.

Mike Williams - He was a top 10 pick in 2017 for a reason. He's a monster. He has elite ball skills that helped him score 10 TDs last year on just 66 targets. Not only is he entering the fabled breakout 3rd season, but he's also stepping into an every down role. I give him the 3rd best odds to lead the league in receiving TDs behind only Beckham and Adams.

Josh Gordon - Could this finally be the year ? Is it possible? There's no analytics needed for this breakdown. Josh Gordon is a truly special talent. If he is finally mentally healthy he will be a league winner. I'm all in either way. As Steve Rodgers said to Bucky " I'm with you till the end of the line ". I just want this man to succeed. I believe his time has come to show the world he can still dominate.

After firing Hue Jackson Baker Mayfield had a pace of 4508 yards and 38 TDs. QBs historically have their biggest statistical leaps in year two. Recent examples would be Carson Wentz 2017 and Pat Mahomes 2018. Both monster year twos. On top of that he now has a generational WR talent in Beckham. Baker has sky high upside this season. 4600 40 is in his range of outcomes.

Latavius Murray - He's inheriting the Ingram role in a backfield that has been a fantasy goldmine during the Brees/Payton era. 1000+ total yards and double digit scores is a real possibility.

Vance McDonald - This is my number one TE target. He has George Kittle breakout written all over him. He's an explosive athlete and a tank to tackle. The only thing that could hold him back is health. I believe if he turns in just 12 healthy games he will be a top 6 TE and if his health can hold all 16 he will crack the top 3.

Will Fuller, Christian Kirk and Rashaad Penny have massive weekly upside. Penny will need an injury to Carson, but if that happens Penny becomes a league winner and is worth the investment to wait and see. Samuel, Thompson and Brieda should all be very worthwhile fantasy assets.

Marvin Jones is a safe floor play here. Sammy Watkins is the Home Run upside pivot.
